Well it have been a very long time since we updated this. Lisa and I have been very busy over the last few months. I am going to teach Lisa how to use this so it will get updated more. Where do I start??? As everyone knows by now Lisa is pregnant again and is due on April 29. That means Maddie and the next little one will be a little over 12 months apart. We do not have a girls name picked out but we do have a boys name picked out - Jack Spurgeon Wilson. And as far as we know Jack is we need to pick out! Yes that’s right we are having a boy!

Maddie is doing well. She is 10 months old as of yesterday. She is not walking yet but is able to stand on her own and “walk” around anything she is holding on to like the coffee table. Crawling is not a problem at all she is all over the place. The big news about Maddie though is this… She finally got a tooth! It starting coming in today. If the old saying is true that the longer your teeth to take to come in the better they will be… I think hers will be really good!

Lisa is now babysitting a little boy from Jamaica this school semester. The boys mom is going to BBC this year. Lisa only have him when he is not in kindergarten and his mom is in class. Lisa might also be babysitting another little boy for a few weeks while his mom does research for her Masters. Other than that she has been keeping busy with Maddie all day.

I have been busy with work at BBC as always. The new BBC website is on its way and I am working on it trying to get it done and ready to go live. My business eh design is doing well too. So between BBC and eh design I have been doing more than enough work. I am looking forward to summer when I can get outside and go places. Speaking of going places… every Wednesday night I am going to Saint John for a few weeks. I am taking a photography course there from a staff photographer for the Telegraph Journal named Noel Chenier. If you have a film or digital SLR and want to learn more I would recommend taking one of his courses.

The cats are both doing well. Lisa put up with Maddie but does not like it when Maddie starts screeching. Dina on the the other hand loves Maddie. He will lay down and Maddie will pet, hit and pull his fur and he does not mind at all. Dina has been real clingy lately. I think he knows something is up. He meows a lot too. I think he is trying to get as much attention as he can before Jack comes.

Well I need to run for now. I have to go scoop the cats litter box, shovel snow, and work on some eh design stuff. We do have an ultrasound photo of Jack and I will try to get it scanned and on here to everyone can see it.

Fundy Trail Parkway

9:23 pm, October 8th, 2006

Yesterday Jenny and Andrew Walker plus Lisa, Maddie and I went on a day trip to the Fundy Trail Parkway. We left a little after 11 AM and did not get home until 8:30 PM! It was a perfect day. Clear sunny and not too cold. We had a picnic lunch on top of a big hill overlooking the bay. While we were up there we saw a lookout lower down on the next hill over. We decided to hike down to that overlook because none of us had been down there before. Well will did not find the lookout but ended up down the bottom of a steep hill and three flights of stairs in a little cove. The tide was high but going out so we were able to walk around there. Andy and I went across a little stream and climbed up on some rocks and explored around. Jenny was nice enough to take some photos of Lisa, Maddie and I there. Well when it was time to leave Andy and I carried the stroller up the stairs and then Lisa and I took turn pushing the stroller up the hill. We then went to the end of the Parkway and went across the suspension bridge there and visited the interpretative center. On the way out of the Parkway we decided to eat at The Caves Restaurant. After that Andy and I decided to explore the sea cave right next to the restaurant. Good thing I had my sandals on. There was a stream we had to cross to get to it. So Andy hopped on my back and I carried him across. On the way back there were some BBC students walking up and saw me carrying him and they all though it was very funny. After that we drove around and saw the lighthouse in St. Martin’s. Then headed home. It was a great fall day and we can’t wait until spring for the Parkway to open again. Enjoy the photos!

We’ve be Busy…

9:23 pm, June 3rd, 2006

Hello everyone!

We apologize for such a long delay from the last update to our blog. Our family has been extremely busy in the past month. Two weekends ago we went to Beulah camp where our summer cottage is. While we were there two exciting things happened. First of all our little gal decided it was time to start sleeping through the night! I was so suprised it happened so early. Since then, there have only been three nights that she did not sleep through until morning. Secondly, it rained the whole time we were at the cottage and on Saturday we awoke to rain in our sunroom! we discovered that our roof has some major leaks and is in need of repair.

It boggles my mind that Maddie is already two months old! I am REALLY ENJOYING motherhood! It has definitely changed my life in many ways, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world! Maddie has brought me so much joy! She just started discovering her thumb this past week and has been smiling and cooing for almost two weeks now. Last week we visited the hospital and discovered that she is now 11 lbs and 5 oz. This week Maddie will receive her two month old shot. My guess is that Maddie will cope with the needle a lot better than her mommy will.

Yesterday my niece Mya, Maddie, and I went to The Magnetic Hill Zoo. There we met up with my kindergarten class. We all had so much fun. The animals were very active which made the visit very enjoyable! Mya, who is about two months shy of her second birthday impressed everyone with her counting skills and extensive vocabulary. Our favorite animals were the goats and lepoards. When we reached the lepoard cage one of them kept passing directly in front of where we were standing. Every time the lepoard turned away from us Mya would extend her arms, laugh, and say “More, more! Again!”. When we arrived at the goats we discovered several baby goats had been recently born. I fed the goats while Maddie napped and Mya pet them. What a beautiful day we had to visit the zoo!

Troy, Maddie and I visited Nana and Papa Wilson this weekend. We caught a cute picture of Maddie and Higgins, the family feline pet catching a nap in Papa’s chair. How adorable! This coming weekend we hope to make a visit to see Nana and Papa Bradstreet.
This Thursday is our kindergarten graduation and the substituting teacher has been very gracious and has allowed me to be a part of the program. I am looking forward to watching my students walk! I am making memory albums for my students and a slide show presentation of our year’s highlights for graduation.

Check out the new photos below and hopefully we’ll do a better at keeping the blog more up to date.

Maddie Allilson Wilson was born at 2:39 today. She weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 inches long. She and Lisa are feeling great. No problems at all and the delivery was very short. Lisa was in labor for less then 9 hours and only pushed for about 40 minutes before Maddie showed up. Well here is what everyone is wanting - photos!

90th Celebration!

12:46 am, March 13th, 2006

This morning at my grandmother’s church, Pastor Mark had a social time following the service for grammie. Lots of pictures were taken and birthday cake was shared. Today after church Troy and I drove home to Bristol for my grandmother’s 90th birthday celebration. Troy surprised me by taking me home! I have been quite uncomfortable the past couple of weeks of my pregnancy. No one knew we were coming as it was a total surprise to everyone, especially grandma! Mom’s sisters Joyce (and her husband Lynn) and Sharon came to celebrate with my immediate family. It was really nice to see my family and to have the opportunity to share this wonderful day with my gram! We enjoyed pizza, garlic fingers, threee cakes and ice cream. Yummy! Grammie received lots of nice gifts, but I think she appreciated the fact her family was together the most.

Maddie received some more gifts from Nana and Papa while we were at home. Aunt Joyce and uncle Lynn also brought gifts for Maddie. They didn’t know we would be present for grammie’s party either. I was really glad to have gone home not only to celebrate gram’s 90th but also because I hadn’t seen my family since Christmas. Mom and Dad got to see me really pregnant! (I have only three weeks to go!) They also got to see our new family vehicle! We only stayed for a couple of hours, but it was well worth the three hour trip!
