Hello everyone!

We apologize for such a long delay from the last update to our blog. Our family has been extremely busy in the past month. Two weekends ago we went to Beulah camp where our summer cottage is. While we were there two exciting things happened. First of all our little gal decided it was time to start sleeping through the night! I was so suprised it happened so early. Since then, there have only been three nights that she did not sleep through until morning. Secondly, it rained the whole time we were at the cottage and on Saturday we awoke to rain in our sunroom! we discovered that our roof has some major leaks and is in need of repair.

It boggles my mind that Maddie is already two months old! I am REALLY ENJOYING motherhood! It has definitely changed my life in many ways, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world! Maddie has brought me so much joy! She just started discovering her thumb this past week and has been smiling and cooing for almost two weeks now. Last week we visited the hospital and discovered that she is now 11 lbs and 5 oz. This week Maddie will receive her two month old shot. My guess is that Maddie will cope with the needle a lot better than her mommy will.

Yesterday my niece Mya, Maddie, and I went to The Magnetic Hill Zoo. There we met up with my kindergarten class. We all had so much fun. The animals were very active which made the visit very enjoyable! Mya, who is about two months shy of her second birthday impressed everyone with her counting skills and extensive vocabulary. Our favorite animals were the goats and lepoards. When we reached the lepoard cage one of them kept passing directly in front of where we were standing. Every time the lepoard turned away from us Mya would extend her arms, laugh, and say “More, more! Again!”. When we arrived at the goats we discovered several baby goats had been recently born. I fed the goats while Maddie napped and Mya pet them. What a beautiful day we had to visit the zoo!

Troy, Maddie and I visited Nana and Papa Wilson this weekend. We caught a cute picture of Maddie and Higgins, the family feline pet catching a nap in Papa’s chair. How adorable! This coming weekend we hope to make a visit to see Nana and Papa Bradstreet.
This Thursday is our kindergarten graduation and the substituting teacher has been very gracious and has allowed me to be a part of the program. I am looking forward to watching my students walk! I am making memory albums for my students and a slide show presentation of our year’s highlights for graduation.

Well as I am typing this a few of us are watching my birthday present from Lisa and Maddie… The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I am sitting here with Lisa, Matt, Sabrina, Jeff and Becky. The only person here who has not seent he movie is Sabrina. This is my fourth time watching it, Jeff’s third time (second time tonight!) Matt, Becky and Lisa’s second time. Well Lisa can’t really count this as her second time because she is asleep on the floor as always… this time before the movie even started. She was snoring a few minutes ago like always. I woke her up long enough to tell her she was snoring and she told me I was not. Everyone then told her she was. Now she is asleep again and not snoring. Today was the last full day of classes here at BBC. That means most of the students will be gone soon and Matt and Sabrina will be leaving for South Dakota. Lisa and I are going to miss them when they are gone. I am glad they were able to come over tonight. We will have to drive out next summer to visit them. That would be a really fun trip to take. Jeff and Becky will be gone this summer but will be back in the fall. I have been taking lots of photos for the school but need more. So I will be busy the next couple weeks with that. I have found one thing Maddie likes to do with me. She like to pay on my chest in the lazyboy and sleep. Just like I used to do with dad when I was baby. Time to get back to the movie…

Today Lisa, Maddie and I drove to Fredericton. I had to drive the copywriter for Bethany’s new viewbook to the airport. So we made a night of it. We called Carlie White after leaving the airport and went to supper at Wendy’s. Lisa wanted to go there and later told me that it was not that great. We should have gone to Pizza Hut like I suggested! you can never go wrong with pizza. After we dropped Carlie off at her dorm at UNB we went to Wallmart and picked up a few things we needed. Lisa then fed Maddie and we drove around for a few minutes and found a car we both like. Maybe we should trade in the Nissan. If you are wondering what kind of car it is take a look at the photos below. Also we had a new delivery to the house today! Lisa and I bought a LazyBoy recliner to sit in and and rock Maddie. It is much nicer than our old couch and chair we have. Hopefully we will be able to keep the cats off the chair and from scratching it  to pieces. I am trying double sided tape on the corners to keep them from scratching but I am not sure if it is going to work. Anyone have any other suggestions on how to keep them from scratching?

Well today was my birthday. I turned 30 and I think this will be my last birthday I will celebrate for awhile since Maddie’s birthday is one week before mine. Last night Lisa had a few friends come over, had cake and talked for awhile. Maddie seemed to like everyone being here until she got tired later on in the night. She has been doing well with noise. She is like me and sleeps though everything. Well if anyone feels bad and forgot my birthday I am missing something I have always wanted… a Porsche. So feel free to send one to me. Black would be nice but I will take whatever you want to send. Maddie went to church for the fist time. (Well second if you count a missions service we went to at BBC last Thursday) Everyone wanted to see and and hold her. She was good and never fussed once. Maddie just sat there and looked around at everyone. I am sure she was wondering what was going on and who all those people were. She is sleeping around four hours at a time and hopefully she will start sleeping longer so Lisa can get some more rest. Well here is what everyone is wanting to see… Photos!

Well today Matt, Sabrina, Dee, Lisa and myself drove to Fundy National Park and Cape Enrage. On the way down I thougt the three girls in the back seat were going to get knocked out. Frost heave has done a real number on the raod and a few bumps had the girls hitting thier heads on the roof of the car. It was a really nice dy down at Fundy not much of a breeze and sunny some of the time. We walked around a bit in Alma and looked at some fishing boats siting high and dry since the tide was out. Matt climbed down on one of them and talked to some of the people on it for awhile. From there we went to Cape Enrage and walked around there and looked the lighthouse over. Then back to Fundy for some supper. We had a picnic lunch in a hutnick in the Headquartes Campground. On the way back to Sussex Lisa and I were the only ones awake in the car. I think everyone was tired from the little bit of walking we did.
